Blood Angels....... So much red to paint!
What I am getting too is, anyone know where I can get some Blood red spraypaint? I know GW doesn't sell it anymore, so I am looking for an alternative solution.
Help is greatly appreciated!
Yeah, that sux that they don't make it anymore, I liked it and my Berzerkers need paint! Anyways, I go to a local hobby store and find something that looks very similar. If someone at the table wants to be a stickler about your paint job, let 'em, they probably don't have anything better to do anyways. Wal-Mart has some good red spray paints that look pretty darn close and you may want to try a paint store or Home Depot (Lowe's is nice too) that makes custom paint. I don't know if they make sprays, but they might.
Dude, red is red. I can't imagine anyone saying your army sux because you didn't use special GW blood angel red. Plus power armour is ancient and in each chapter there's armour from lots of different time periods. Maybe your guys have faded because they were fighting on a world with acid rain or something.
Don't be brainwashed into only using GWcolours, if you branch out into other brands you will be able to get heaps more creative, and give your army exactly the colours you want. No-one can begrudge you that. You may not be allowedtouse non-GW minis in atourney but I've yet to hear ofeomone being barred because their raven guard werepainted in "generic $3 flat back supermarket spray" instead of "$20 GW chaos black"
PS. They look excatly the same. As kunfusucka says go to wal-mart or whatever you have where you live.
Sorry that was a bit of a rant but the idea that a game nazi would get snooty over what kind of paint someone uses is just too much for me to bear...
robotnik is right, forks to only using GW paint. It does have it's place though, there are some special shades the GW only makes. But undercoats and basic colors can be and probably should be cheaper.
