I am so incredibly PO'd right now that it's not funny. I'll start from the beginning so that you can all feel my pain:
Last month I ordered a good $300 worth of stuff from GW for me and a friend who both live in Korea. If you are paying with your Bank's Check Card, then you have to put in a billing address so that they can verify that it's your card. If you want it shipped to a different address, then GW has a little box that you check and you can fill out your shipping address too.
So I billed it to my Wife's house in Georgia and requested that it be shipped to me in Korea. Two weeks later, which is a bit late if you ask me, the order shows up on my Wife's doorstep. She already dislikes the fact that I spend so much on this hobby every month and is quite displeased to find this huge package.
She then goes to the post office and send the package to me while paying for the shipping this time out of her own pocket. One order + two shipping fees = Unhappy Wife. Unhappy Wife = Unhappy Husband. Unhappy Husband + It's GW's fault = Angry Email sent to GW.
So after I sent my Email to GW and they apologized, they said "Hey! We know how to solve this problem!! We will ship you a free gift worth $15.00! Just tell us what you want!" So I did. It's been 6 weeks since then, and no free Techmarine like I requested.
Now THIS month I made a $200 Forgworld order and yet again, they have different forms for billing and shipping addresses. I filled them both out correctly and guess where my package went? Yep. Back to my wife who actually resorted to a healthy amount of cursing this time. I believe she even shook her fist at the sky, but I was on the phone with her so I couldn't see it.
I just sent an email to Forgeworld asking them why they screwed my order up too, and I'm doubly pissed at their mistake, since their products generally cost at least twice as much as a comparable GW product. (One squad of GW Guardsmen is $30.00 and one squad of Elysian Guardsmen is $65.00)
This should be a warning to all, that if you don't live in the same place that your bill goes to, then there's a good chance that GW and Forgworld both will F your order up and you'll end up paying two shipping fees without any compensation. Maybe Forgeworld will offer me better compensation since I spend on average $200 a month on their products.
Sucks to be you.
I think GW did that on purpose. They dont like Azia for some reason...(I mean, come on. They put up shop for all the hobby centers there, for no real reason.)
Anyway, heres some ways to get back at them:
1) Wear an Official Rakham Employee shirt to the next GW sponserd Tourney.
2) Get the greater Daemon of Nurgle Model and tape Andy Chambers picture to the front of it. Whe people ask, say its The Great Unclean One.
3) Go to one of there stores, and pile all the rulebooks and Codices onto the counter, and act like your going to buy them. When the clerk turns his head, run like hell.
Wow, how hard can it be to read an order form properly? It must be incredibly easy to get a job at GW. I understand you're frustrated.
Ave Dominus Nox!
Hah! I think I might do that one...Originally Posted by SlickWilley
