Any one have any recomendations for a good carrying case or should I just buy some foam trays and stick em in a cardboard box? Keep in mind money is somewhat of an issue.
If money is a sore point then are, cardboard boxes are the cheapest and easy way to go...though for protection, there quite crap lol.
If you can afford it I would say get one of those large hard plastic tool boxes. They do, more often that most, have a lot of space.
If you can buy some foam too, then it can be quite a cheap case, but lots of loo roll does the same basically, its just a bit more messy.

So A big cardboard box with those customizable foam inserts would be pretty cheap and protctive. Now I just gotta find a store with 'em.
Personally I would LOVE the deluxe gamesworkshop one which holds like 120 models and tanks and places for codexes and army lists its hundred bucks though
If you've got money to spare, take a look at something like intersponge (or figures in comfort). While they are expensive, they have an excellent selection of trays and a very nice system for transporting your models (Standing stuff vertical is so much better than lying it down).
GW cases are OK, but I find with others you can customise them better since you can get the trays for tanks/monsters without completely wrecking the rest of the storage space.
Having an army and not owning a rulebook is like owning a car with no steering wheel.Originally Posted by amishcellphone
Does anyone know of a website (retailer located inU.S.) where you can get customizable foam in addition to other gaming supplies such as bruhes and brown stuff and related?
I use a metal toolbox which I've outfitted with foam bought from the local foam & Rubber place, it only set me back around $30 Aus dollars and it held everything I wanted it to (Paint, minis, rulebooks, dice etc). Toolboxes (once fitted out with foam) really are the best way to go apart from the delux GW cases, in my opinion.
