Im just getting into Warhammer 40k once again since I found a friend who enjoys it as well. I have a decent size Spacemarine army, but I was wondering if I can use units from the Black Templars, Space Wolves, etc. in my army. Can I use their respective paint schemes or do they need to match my army?
Im not to sure but I dont think you can mix chapters because they are individual chapters who live in different places and have different armys etc. But im not to sure.
you can not have a squad of long fangs, neophytes nd death company as they belong to space wolves, templars, and blood angels respectively.
i suppose if you really wanted to ou could mix and match the various kits into an army. though you couldnt have any chapter specific symbols and they would all have to be painted the same
WELL SAID, NO MORE SQUATS THEY ARE DEAD GET OVER ITOriginally Posted by artificer
Could you show us this rule that says all your models have to be painted the same?Originally Posted by cadre_of_storms

As much as there is none, having completely different color scheme for each unit isn't the way to have a unified look for the army.
You can mix and match different miniatures as much as you like, but you cannot use unist from different Chapters in terms of rules - you go with one Chapter for your army's ruleset, no more no less.
I see. So I can use the other units, just not the rules and symbols for those units.
