I was just thinking today, where do you put your models? I mean when your not using them? Do you leave them in your transporting box, or do you display them with pride on a shelf, or on your gaming table, looking dynamic?
Personally I just leave them in my Transport box, probably because I just don't have the time or space to take them out everytime.
i keep mine on my game table, it feels good to see my newly painted models on the battlefield  . plus i dont have to take them out of the case or off of a shelf to play. i just move em to where my start is and battle away
I leave mine in the carry case and in a steel box in my cupboard for the models that don't fit in my case. No risk of damage, no risk of them getting lost.
For a long time I used to leave my Space Marine army in formation on my gaming table, just because it looked cool lol. It looked a bit like the inside cover of the Third Edition marine codex, just on a smaller scale (I must have about 200 marines and 10 vehicles lined up in squads). However not playing as much nowadays....I generally leave them out wherever I last had them i.e. some in my army box, some on my table, some of my shelf.
If I am not painting them - they are currently in my army transport. One day I would like to get a nice display cabinet with lights - however at the time that is a bit costly.
I really don't like to leave them out for long periods of time as I don't want them to get too dusty.

I leave my all over the place. Usually they are in my carrying case, but most of them end up scattered up my workbench or gaming table from when I couldn't be bothered to pick them up after a battle or some painting.
