Eh, I was just thinking of the models I dislike in the Vampire Counts armies and it got me back on my old trend of thinking about how much I dislike a lot of GW's miniatures. I'm, of course, in a very negative mood so I only really have dislikes at the moment so here are mine:
Strigoi vampires: Their muscles are waaaaay too big and it just looks unappealing. I love the art in the book, but the models look nothing like said artwork.
Dragons: They all have a kind of asian-dragon feel (yet not entirely) to them with their overly enlongated bodies and necks that are almost as long as the body. It just doesn't give that amazingly powerful feel to it that the western-style dragon gives off. I think the only dragon that they sell that I like is the Chaos dragon.
What Dragons I like:
What GW offers:
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/s...e=A&Img=212249 -coolest one of this style
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/s...e=A&Img=214394 -coolest one
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/s...e=A&Img=255807 -my least favourite
Also all the vampires seem to have ratlike faces because GW seems to have been attempting to make a kind of snarl but it just makes their faces look enlongated.
Hmm...which models i dislike the most? Dark Eldar wyches are pretty high on the list, those things are awful (no offence to DE players) - seem far too muscular and not lithe enough, plus some of their weapons look as though they're actually attached to the arms. That and I don't like the ogryn models. They seem less strong and more fat, and far too goofy and out of proportion - the best ogryns i've ever seen were converted from ogres.
As for my favourite models, i have a few. I'm pretty fond of the standard chaos warrior models, along with the space marine assault terminators (new ones, with thunder hammers and storm shields note), as they seem to radiate sheer power with their hulking grace. Overall, i gotta say i think the Trygon and Malanthrope models (forge world) are pretty cool, the malanthrope because it has the right kind of "lurking" quality, the trygon because it looks like a speedy, super-strong snake thing, but my absolute favourite has to be the forge world thousand sons dreadnought - i bought one, and the level of detail is incredible. It's a beautiful model.

The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.

I love the Avatar model (as well a lot of models in the Eldar range), it gives such an strong and imposing feel. And he is really cool as well
I like the bashees as well, especially the old ones (heh, all of the old Eldar are really great models) and not to forget Maugan Ra!
St: Celestine is also one of my biggest favourites, along with the Eversor assassin.
I could continue like this forever though, better stop.
There are a lot of models that I dislike, altough few pops to my attention now. The Gnoblar-models with their huge noses are ugly, and I am not to fond with some of the Tau-models (to much anime, to little gothic), the Kroots are high on my dislike-list.
Howling Banshees (new and old)
Eversor assassin (the one to the left is the coolest, not to fond of the other one)
I love the Howling Banshee models, the basic Chaos Warriors and Chaos Terminators. The Slaaneshi Lord on a Steed of Slaanesh is cool is well. The worst models are the dragons (apart from the Chaos ones), alot of Vampire Counts and the old Wood Elves are horrible.
as much as i love asia(mostly japan) i hate the GW dragons! they dont look good not enough beef, if i were to compare the dragons, GW to western:
GW-a jr cheese burger at mcdonalds
Western-a 16oz hamburger with the works at some really good resterraunt.
although i do like asian dragons, i think GW kinda took them and then treid to cross breed them with western and what we have is there deformed babies.
but most models GW has are good a few that i dont like, like the vespids, but most are cool, oh yea and necrarchs from vamp counts.

For me, most of the Vampire models, apart from the Blood Dragon without a helmet. Also the Dark Eldar. And the new Black Templars high marshal.
My favourite models would be, possibly the new WE glade guard, and the HE dragon princes (just off the top of my head, from a long list).
Iam a fan of all the skaven models (mostly the eshin and skyre ones) but i hate the new rat ogres that came out with lustria!

My Skaven armylist:
Please don't be offended, but I simply cannot stand any of the space marine terminators. They look just plain dumb to me. The helmets in particular. Yuck! Not too fond of the space marines themselves, either. Hard for me to put my finger on it, exactly, perhaps it's the helmets again, but space marines inevitably look lost and confused ... stupid in the most literal sense of it. Marines are, bar none, my least favorite models in 40K.Originally Posted by Lordofchange
On the other hand, I adore the Grey Knights, especially the terminators. In fact, it's the GKTs that got me into 40K to begin with. Since then, I've grown fond of nearly all the inquisition models. (Can anyone say Seraphim?)
Over in WHFB, which is where I started, there's a lot more to like and a lot less to dislike. Tomb Kings are probably the coolest range of minis, for any game or any purpose, I have ever seen. Simple, and simple to paint, but what results! Skaven (my own army) are winners, too, especially the new plague monks. I also appreciate lizardmen saurus and the new wood elves range and what I've seen of the new dwarfs, too. Don't care much for the vampires of the VCs, though.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.

Likes: Most things about the IG, especially their tanks and the Commisars. Most Tau stuff, espcially the new Pirannha. Witch Hunters (love the gothic feel), Eldar vehicles. I don't play WHFB but I LOVE Night Goblins and Squigs. I really liked that article about Night Goblins vs. Dwarfs in the most recent WD. The giant mushroom terrain pieces were great.
Dislikes: Ghouls (terrible, terrible), Strigoi vampires, most things relating to Skavens, the Empire as a whole (just don't like the theme or models for that army), Dark Eldar (snore). And although I really want to like them because I know they need attention, I can't ever find any love for the Orks. Don't like the fluff and the models are meh for the most part.
