i have heared rumours of a plastic baneblade over the next year, can anyone confirm this
or is it just junk.
I am pretty sure that this rumor is junk, For a start the Baneblade is a super heavy tank and it's rules arn't covered by the BGB, secondly 1-3 Baneblades counts as a detachment as such in a 1000 pts game your army will consist of just the baneblade as such i would doubt that GW will make a plastic Baneblade.
thanx, but damn it would be cool
It would probably cost twice the amount as a Land Raider Crussader if it were made.
And I also doubt (and hope) that it will ever be made.
you can already get a resin one at forgeworld, and if you look at the size of it its pretty impractical for most games of 40k...In my opinion, if you want to play with super heavy battle tanks then take up epic.
PLAN CLAN MAN!!

Yes, there will be a plastic baneblade coming from forgeworld in the near future, for much much less $ than it used to be.
Et imperator Invocato Diabolus Daemonica Exorcist!
GW have developed the ability to produce models from the current Forgewolrd resin range in plastic, so it may well be technically possible.
That said, why baneblades? there are rules for these beasts in IA1, from memory a single bane blade can be taken in armies of greater than 2000 points, how many would use/buy it?
Julius Gaius Ceasar, can you please state your source?
Everything you have been told is a lie!
I'd love one, along with the other imperial tanks, as my armorcast collection is close to being complete outside of imperial gear. I have my eldar collection of titans, a wolfhound, and 2 of the three nids (non forgeworld). A rever, a baneblade, a shadowsword, and a few of the orc toys, and my titan sized backup will be complete. If any of those would be made in plastic, I'd certainly be happy to purchase them.Originally Posted by Cheredanine
But finding games for them is hard somedays. People are afraid to use them (as in me letting them use one for them) so they are very afraid to face them with their army. It's amusing, as I know exactly how easy they are to kill, and how many points they waste, and how imposible it is to make back their points.
16,000+ of Eldar (only need flyers)
7,000+ of Nids (want heirophant)
6,000+ of Space Marines (need rever titan)
4,400+ of Cygnar (all models for the faction)
1,500+ of Legion (just started)
I have but one thing to say on this matter. Ahem. w00000t!Originally Posted by JuliusGaiusCaesar
I want it :C. The problem is I can't justify spending £150 on something I won't use; but if they drop the price then I'll take the hands off them ^^. That's a cracking model even if you're just buying it to build and paint .
This same topic was brought up once a couple of months ago, so now I'm beginning to lend it a bit more credibility.
When it was brought up previously everyone denied that they would make Tau Piranah's and Skyray's and now they have the new plastic ones out and everyone is being quiet. I really don't see the reason for making a plastic Super Heavy Tank, but I won't totally discount the possibility.
Now what I'm irritated about is that there are rumors of making a plastic Baneblade, but not rumors of making something a lot more useful such as a plastic Valkyrie or Vulture. Now, granted, I'm an IG player at heart so my view is a little bit skewed.
