I've been reading threads like bizarre gaming happenings and gaming pet hates and certain different character types are appearing
1) the rules lawyer (ruleus annoyingus maximus) someone who is annoyingly inflexible about all rule
2) Young kids (brattus minimus) who cheat, sulk and have tantrums when they lose
3) Bad gamers (brattus maximus) who cheat, sulk and have tantrums when they lose
4) Dial a weapon people (cheatus alotus) who have magical auras that create wargear at will but also destroy armylists whever they are asked for.
Thankfully i haven'y seen many of the fifth type the Elitest morons (Bigheadus must dieus) those who sneer at any move they see as wrong and generally give you as harder time as possible (those who play online games will know exactly what i mean)
My question is this which character type do people hate playing against the most?
and also are there any other character types out there
Ah Latin, the most colourful of all languages....
I would say number 3, there is nothing worse than full grown people sulking cos their uber all killing HQ took a force weapon to the face. They don't like it when they can't shout after they win - "I is t3h w1n!"
oo oo i forgot the 6th class of annoying person
The type of person you describe your army to or a conversion you want to make etc, who will then whine and whinge that your army is broken or no one in the gaming world will ever paly against and army with that conversion in etc
i call these people (bleatus maximus)
The fourth definitly they just make the game pointless. You might as well just say ok fine you win as actually play them. The Younger player one isn't so bad because I just assume that what young kids are like anyway they grow out of it.

Funny, but I still say 3 is worse, Bleatus maximus you can laugh knowing what a fool they are, but Brattus maximus ar those who deserve to die.
yes but this thread is actually asking who is the worst to play against
Tie between three and four relly. Three, well they-re perfectly described. You win, they sulk, you do good, they sulk. Option four however at least offer a challange (albiet a very bad one) since the game is about having fun, not winning every game. (Unless you can only have fun utterly annihilating your opponent and crushing whatever remains under a mountain of gloating and boasting. In which case find another game...)

3 and 4 in a tie. When someone destroys the game, it isnt worth playing.
But I must say I actually like having someone thats a #1 around. They know all the rules, and if they dont, they know what page its on. I like playing the game how its supposed to be played (barring friendly experiments) and if someone can find the right rules faster.. more power to them.
This is basically only a tourney phenomenon but its what I hate the most. I'm not sure what category it falls under since it isn't exactly cheating. Its just being a #$%@.
Folks who continually talk to their friends, leave the table, go looking for the ref when the rulebook is right in front of them, claim that they've forgotten the basic rules and must look them up right now, consider their moves six ways from sunday, get out the laser pointer for every unit, 'misremember' their own and my armies stats and rules, roll 40 to hit dice, one friggin' die at a time, all so the clock ticks down and the time for the game is up and maybe 2 game turns have been played.
Not so surprisingly, they tend to do this sort of thing more when they have a shooty army and I have a hth style list.
Its one of the reasons I went to more horde based shooting lists when at tournaments.
Its also one of the reasons I don't go to Grand Tournaments anymore.
