Where do you get your minis from?
Ebay? Online store? Independent stockist? An actual GW store?
I only ask this as i don't think i know anyone who has internet access uses a GW store to purchase stuff anymore?
Do you think could lead to the closure of some stores, or halt the expansion of new shops?
Also is this hurting the hobby? I don't think independent stockists are hurting the hobby, as the money ends up in GWs pocket, but is ebay hurting the hobby?
i mostly buy stuff from the GW online store, although i occassionally pop into my local store to see whats going on.
i think the stores will always have a place- attracting new gamers and serving as a focal point for people to ask questions etc. especially younger gamers who do not have net access.
PLAN CLAN MAN!!
He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man- S. Johnson
Mostly I stroll down to my Local GW to get stuff, I only order things if I am making a custom model.
Ebay only, why pay twice as much if I don't have to?
I bought a lot off of ebay, but after a while i got fed up with stripping minis, and the new stuff on ebay ain't that great price wise to some online independent stockists. So now i pay that little bit extra at an online shop compared to ebay, but still a lot cheaper then GW shop or online prices... i mean £4 p&p on the online store... ouch!
well a great many were fetched down the chimney by Santa, an equal amount arive in slightly different colour raping paper on a specific morning, and about half of then I dial up FW for.
as for the rest, mostly GW stores
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Local independent hobby shop. 20% off anything not in stock. If it is in stock, just wait a week or so. And if I really want it, I'll pay GW price cause I know the store owner sees that extra money.
I buy most bits off of ebay and order less common bits direclty from GW. I've given up on getting most box sets off of ebay. In the end, they'll save me the same 20%, but I would still have to pay shipping.

I go to games workshop for veterens night but i mainly buy off ebay, because of A the cheaper cost and B teh staff in my local gamesworkshop only seem to be interested in getting me to buy the latest model and often ignore me if i havn't got something in my hand and are waiting by the till.
sadly my 2k point Imperial Guard army was pretty close to free. i just traded stuff with people (or they gave it to me) or i traded in my Magic: The Gathering cards at my local shop and used store credit. I <3 LOCAL SHOPS! SUPPORT THEM ALL!
"how many autocannon shots at my deamon prince?"
"11 guns... im consolidating my army because nothing else can hurt it."
'' that seems excessive"
"not when you think about the damage that damn monstrosity will enact upon my feeble weakling humans. FIRE THE REALLY BIG GUNS!"
Turns out the independent stockist in my sig, is local to me, so i am supporting local trade, real nice guy to, not only can you email him but you can chat on either his forum or msn to him. Real gamer too. And great prices... £17 for a predator wow, even when postage is added its still way cheap... i dn't have to pay postage though... mwahahaha!
