Hmmm, i am in quite a debacle over what army to take to a local tournie this weekend.
Tournie rules are...
4 x 4 tables
Often most games are from RTT
I am either taking my sisers of battle or my white scars. here's the rundown on what the lists would contain....
2 Jump pack canoness'
4 x squads of battle sisters mounted in rhino's
2 x 8 man squads of serapim
10 man retributor squad w/4 HB's
Chaplain on bike
Chaplain on jump pack
Elite 5 man bike squad w/ furious charge + attack bike
3 5 man bike squads w/ attack bikes
9 Assault marines
2 MM attack bike squadron
So which army should i take?
Right now i am leaning towards sisters due to the small tables compensate for the sisters lack of long ranged weaponry?

Yikes! 2000 points on 4x4? that is going to be messy.
That said, there are two ways I look at this.
One, it is going to be very hard to manouvre and hide from firepower. Sisters still have to walk across the table, but have less width to refuse flank, distance themselves from firepower and so on.
On the other hand, the other guy is going to be bunched up, and I would lean towarsds assault jumping from squad to squad. Lots of opportunities for sweeping advance IF you survive the focused firepower on the way in. Turbo boost is no help if you are rolling enough dice...
I would run with the... hang on, if the sisters get to rapid fire range, it will be good. Hmmm. I lean slightly towards the Sisters, because so few play them. Tactically, White scars have the edge I think.

4x4 = lots of assaulting goodness. I'd say take the sisters, as you can't beat a cannoness in CC if she has a blessed weapon and uses faith to make her 2+ invulnerable. It depends on the other armies too, if there are alot of heavy weapons, such as tau or iron warriors, then take the bikes for the invulnerable save during turbo boosting.Originally Posted by gen.nehring
