I bought some Bolt Gun spray paint today. I figured that I could use the spray to help me catch up with painting. I found out that the spray is different(as in the color) then the brush on Bolt Gun paint. So what do most of you do brush on your base color or spray it on? I am thinking that if I have to many mins waiting to get painted I might use the spray. The Brush on paint looks better I think.
Why use science and education when ignorance and superstition will work just as well.
You could spray the figures, apply a thin watered down ink wash and then go back with the brush on metal paint to add highlights and what not.
In general the spray will save you quite a bit of time. I have been doing this with blood angels (using the blood red spray). Sure you will need to go back and re-paint some areas but if the bulk of your color is the spray color it will overall save you time.
If you are leaning against a spray - I would suggest investing in a large tank sized brush and water your paints down. Not quite as quick but should be faster than doing each one with a regular sized brush.
