Just as the name of this thread suggests, which of the old rules would you like to come back?
I personally would like to see the over watch and continuation fire rules come back.
I know of alot of people were extremely upset when the rapid fire fire rule was adjusted, would you change it back?
I know GW is always trying to streamline the rules and make it easier to understand, and barring the confusion some of the rules would cause, especially to newer players, Im interested in what others think. So please, post comments.
Honestly, there won't be any major rules changes to the base 40k game for a long long time. Probably at least five years from now.
What I would like to see instead of changing the base rules, which are great for quick and fast tournament play and for ADD 16 years olds, would be an advanced rules set. There's already a premise for this, since Battlefleet Gothic has both a basic rules set and an advanced rules set. GW has done it once and they can (and should) do it again.
They have already dedicated a great deal of time to 40k in 40 minutes and Kill Teams, both of which make regular games of 40k both smaller and faster to play, during say a lunch period. Now what we need is something that slows the game down, adds more realism and makes some of us old fogeys (and 16 year olds without ADD) more interested again.
I think they CAN bring overwatch and other advanced rules back into the game. They could even make a small, codex-sized book called 40k Advanced and sell it for 20 USD. I sure would buy it and I would play it too.
So yeah, I want to see regular grenades, overwatch and the myriad of other realistic rules brought back into the fold, just in another format.
yes, I miss overwatch, was a good rule, and the grenade rule revamp would be good also. also bring back blind grenadesOriginally Posted by H0urg1ass
I also miss the old RT rules for making up your own vehicles, they where a little complex, but once you figured it out it was a blast to make your own up
FluffMaster on a mission to turn people to the Sisters of battle, yes folks it's all about SoB squads in Repressors with lots of flamer templates for the win.
