There have been severa threads about all the thigns people think are wrong with GW,
so i thought id start a thread about all the things we love about it.
Me personally i love the new models that are coming out, the new work on the plastics are fantastic

How nice the staff are. I've heard sometimes that they screw up or try to push things on you but, the place I go away from here, they're damned nice.
The replacement policy. Every time I have had a problem with a product or order, they have given me a brand new item (and let me keep the old item) with no questions asked.
I also think the communities that spring up around and within GW are great; it inspires like minded people to gather and trade ideas. That is probably my favourite aspect
I'll vouch that, since i got 3 razorbacks for the price of 1 (2 didnt have the guy to man the turret)Originally Posted by rp252
I'd say the greatest thing about GW is that it is accessible. It's a gateway system... like marijuana! GW is found all over the world and is translated into a bunch of different languages, and has a great deal of supporting product. All of this makes it the most likely choice for a new gamer. And as I'm sure we can all atest this hoby is like the Hotel California; "you can checkout any time you want, but you can never leave".
And another thing. I have moved several times in the last couple of years and wherever I go I am able to find (after some searching in many cases) atleast one person who plays a GW game. So I say the best thing about GW is that there are so many players using it. If Warmachine had as many players I'd probably be playing that.
Oh yeah, the models are pretty neat too. But then again have you seen the Rackham stuff?

I love Games Workshop because they keep me entertained for hours painting their models and gaming and all they want in return is money And they are cheaper than hookers (Disclaimer: I only said that cos I thought it would be funny :w00t: )
I also love the fact that they still make some of the older models so you can go trolling through the website looking for cool stuff. I just bought a l load of bloodbowl models, and they don't even support it any more.
Finally, and this is the clincher : I love Games Workshop because of Warhammer World. That place is great, there is a hotel 5 minutes away from it, it has a bar with projection tv's and shows football and also the gaming room is huge. The whole place has a great atmosphere and it is also only a short cab ride away from the only Hooters in England, it just has it all.

but what I love the most is converting the models and getting them just the way you want them into that special army that YOU love the look of... gotta love milliput and greenstuff :shifty:  :shifty:
FluffMaster on a mission to turn people to the Sisters of battle, yes folks it's all about SoB squads in Repressors with lots of flamer templates for the win.
I love the fact that they've brought out games with detailed and powerful background.
I love the replacement policy that rp252 mentioned, as well as the communities thing. I've made many friend through this hobby, and though I've not stayed in touch with all of them. GW stores have always acted as a base for those friendships, as well as somewhere to play some games.

customer support in general is really nice. I bought a pot of paint there, only to get home and find out I already had a full pot of that color XD. So a few weeks later I go back with the pot, ask if I can exchange it, w/o a repceit of anything, and they let me. thats some good trust, cause I coulda have used some of it, but did they know? also very friendly staff is nice.
While I don't play the game itself anymore, I do like the background fluff very much. For all it's criticisms, I think they've made a fantastic universe.
The only difference between tattooed people and non-tattooed people is that tattooed people are awesome and can kick your ass.
