Basically I took a break from the hobby for a few months, mostly due to it being summer and having to do other things!
But now I want to start painting and gaming again, and I wanted to know if anyone could give any advice on how I could do this well.
I've already started trying to finish my All Skink army, I'm about 60% there!
(And hi again to any of you who remember me! ^_^ )
I kinda did the same. After a few months of not painting, I decided to paint again.
I can't really think of any motivation, tho. I just started it up again.
Just ease yourself back into gently. I go through phases where I may not paint anything for months (I currently have a stack of unopening boxes for my chaos army) but then I will just sit down and find that I want to paint and will go at it like a machine because I am enjoying it. The worse thing you can do it force it on yourself.
Helper monkey, bring me beer and donuts
What I did was paint something fun and not part of the whole army (you can see it entered in the comp!), that way, I got back into the swing of it, and didn't ruin the consistency of my army.
(aside. 300 posts!!!!)

Cervantes: In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd.
i think everyone has these times when they can't be bothered gaming or painting. I always get it when I'm picking through my IG codex and painting masses of troops. You just need a break once in a while.
