I mentioned in another topic that I heard fantasy and 40,000 were connected. That chaos in fanasy found warp stone and thats how deamons got into 40k and that the Eldar are just elves that eventualy dark elves and high elves join up and go into space and once up there they split back up dark elves becoming dark eldar and that humans were force to flee into space and the orks just left because there orks they dont need a reason. But this is just stuff I have heard and not sure if any of its true so if someone could give me some help I need it because Im not sure
really: yeah, in fact i just noticed yesterday (i dont spend much time around those "fantasy" people) that the dark elf wyches look almost exactly like the dark eldar unit of the same name.
Haemonculus Coven Dark Eldar
Brother Bob says that officially, they're not connected.
Brother Bob says that the Warhammer Fantasy Battle was supposed to be a world in the present 40k Universe. Brother Bob turns around and eats another sweet. Brother Bob says that this planet has been cut off from the rest of the galaxy by severe warp storms, so nobody can reach it, and all the races from humans to elves to dwarves and orks are all races that must have crash-landed. Brother Bob considers this for a minute and deduces that Skaven are the only indigeonus race on the Warhammer FB planet.
Brother Bob sighs and says that unfortunately GW has abandoned that piece of fluff.
i also think that the fb planet is a feral world yet to be discovered, there are the same gods and races in 40k and fb almost, it has to be true

Well, to start with, try using the search function because there are already a topic about this.
And now to the question, no its not connected to each other, if you ask GW the FB world isnt even in the same universe as 40k.
The reason why there are so much similarites is that when the first guys started to work on 40k they where a little lazy and borrowed alot from the FB world....
Yes they are. In Liber Chaotica Nurgle (a book very openly written in the times of Warhammer Fantasy, including references to Beastmen and the Empire etc) the final few pages talk in depth about his drams of the greatest of Nurgle's Champions - Mortarion. Now, Mortarion is the Primarch of the Death Guard AKA Nurgle's Space Marine Legion. It also speaks of "Plague Fleets" (Death Guard Speaceships) and of "Mortarion's Hellish World" (Mortarion's home in the Eye of Terror, The Plague Planet) If that ain't proof, i dunno what is.

Brother Bob still says they're connected, just not officially supported by GW, which is a shame.
My mate who played during that time (I am a noob), said that originally the fantasy world was made by the old ones, like a kinda experiment, by throwing the various races in to see how they get along. Though this world is supposed to be in and both outside the 40k universe, basically a higher plane.
and also the heaven agte collapse and eye of terror explosion is sopposed to be the same event. The only way to get to the fabtays world is through the eye of terrors center, and only the daemons can do that, which is why the evolution of daemons and greaters have alwats been parrel to each other on both worlds.
Both of these worlds exist parrel to each other, though you cannot go between them unless you are a hyped up daemon, hmmmmm that means daemon pronces could go between the worlds. But then again GW abandoned that fluff *cries*
Ok a long time ago I played the lizardmen for about a year... then stopped warhammer.... and now many years later here I am. Anyway in their ... book... forget the fantasy name, not named a codex it had the ages of the Slann etc. Anyway the oldest Slann was about 4 thousand years old I think. And he was I think the 3rd generation of Slann. That means the Old Ones who left the left probably about 20 thousand years ago. Now that still puts it far behind warhammer 40k in the timeline. Maybe everything came from that planet!
I am remembering the fantasy stuff off of very vague memories so don't quote me.

Fantasy is 40k but 80k years back. Battles of the old ones, chaos is created, the elven sundering, fantasy is unofficially the birth of the 40k universe. However there are major differences. like slaanesh and the eldar-necron war.
I kill two dwarves in the morning, I kill two dwarves at night. I kill two dwarves in the afternoon, and then I feel allright. I kill two dwarves in time of peace, and two in time of war. I kill two dwarves before I kill two dwarves, and then I kill two more.
