A friend of mine is looking to get a Bloodthirster for his Chaos Marine Army. I told him not to buy the new model as its ****. I seem to have a memory of a model before it that looked a lot better, but i saw it during the years i stopped playing 40k so didn't pay much attention. Searching through eBay and google/yahoo images searches has revealed nothing.
It was released at around the same time as the Great Unclean One with the monster sword i'm sure... Did I dream it?
Already looked there. Was there another model between the old 'dog face' and then new 'tongue face' at all? I reckon I must have dreamt it... Maybe I clocked the Forge World fella in my periphial at some point...
I think you mean this one?
Otherwise i don't know
Is it foolish to ask a question you don't want to hear the answer to?
Or is it simply the foolish that always ask the question?
the blood thirster hasnt been changed that much in many years. i bought mine about 8 years ago. and all they have different now is an alternate head.
the other you may be thinking of is the forge world thirster model. which is pretty cool looking but realy expensive.
Whilst I do not believe it is the model you refer to, and it is a little expensive for most, you could have a look at the Bloodthrister I have used in my avatar. It is made by Forgeworld and is a really amazing model. Take a peek: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/bloodt.htm
