I recently picked up a nice hard plastic transport case at a yardsale. I saw it and thought it would be a good thing to transport my models in. It's about as deep, but about 4" bigger length & width then the GW transport case. They only problem is that it was completely empty inside. So I went to my local hobby shop (not a gamer hobby shop, just a general hoppy) to pick up a couple sheets of egg crate foam. Well to my dismay they stopped carrying it. All they have now is the soft soild foam sheets. With the way some the the arms stick out on some of the models I wanted to put in there, I decided the soild sheets wouldn't work. I was afraid that the foam sheets would "mush" the models to much and arms would break off. So I spent the next 2 hrs driving around town trying to find someone who might stock the egg crate foam that I wanted. Sadly, I couldn't find anyone who had it. So does anyone have any suggestions on anyplace I might not have thought of that might carry it? Even someplace online? Or can anyone suggest anything else I might be able to use. I plan on using this case to transport my Menoth Warmachine army. The only thing I can think of is to buy some of the Army Carrier foam inserts and cut several of them to make them fit. This case is bigger then normal cases out there so I would have to so come creative fitting. Those foam trays are just so expensive though.
click the link for the foam! This is the same seller i bought mine from and he has lots of foam auctions running at the moment, just click the view sellers other items.
