Comment from moderator: no one liek any spelling anymore! y?
Seriously, though, this is not a chat room. If you want to start a new topic, then at least have the decency to use proper spelling and grammar; perhaps you might even consider making it more than a single-line post – that is if the ability to put together two coherent thoughts are not above your cognitive capacity. :glare:

What are you talking about?
With the new codex out eldar are quite popular. I mean it's only been out for a short while and I have personally seen 3-4 new eldar armies in my local gaming store alone. I'm sure there will be much more eldar on the tournament circuit as well.
As for Dark Eldar, they are a finess army, not for new players. I see them more often when I travel for tournaments, but due to the lack of GW support, and difficulty to play they will remain "unpopular" so to speak until they get an update.
I think Dark Eldar are a hit or miss army. Either what you plan on doing works or by turn 2 or 3 you know that it failed and there is little you can do about it.
Eldar on the other hand have some nice tanks, wraith lords, and decent troops with good armor saves. This is not an army that will be taken out first turn.
If you build a man a fire he will be warm for a night. If you set a man on fire he will be warm the rest of his life.
Where's the option for love Eldar and neutral for Dark Eldar? Cos that's what I would choose :yes:What they said. ^^Originally Posted by numberofthebeastxxx

Eldar was the first army I collected, and while I loved them at the time, now I don't care for them much.
In my area, Eldar are somewhat popular, but suprisingly enough not as popular as you would think. However, I do suspect a new wave of Eldar players as the new codex comes out.
Dark Eldar don't seem to be very popular in most places.
And by the way, it's Eldar, not Elder. Cheers!

keep your toilets habits to yourself man! I doubt many people are interested or want to know about what goes in and out of you!
I like dark eldar, although they're somewhat a bit of a wasted opportunity, GW could have made them so cool, especially if they didn't resurrect a sculptor from the 1980s to do their models.
Eldar are a bit... annoying really. The whole holier than thou attitude harboured by the fluff, race, even their wargear. It suits them down to the ground though. WOuldn't change 'em for the world heh heh.

also i think greph went overboard about the spelling. yea, it's not a chat room. IT AER A INNARWEB FERRUMZ. not your midterm paper. chill.
I personally love the Craftworld Eldar; some hate the poncy arrogant blighters but I think that makes them very unique. They're tragic, fragile, and aren't the easiest of armies to use, and that all defintely appeals to me. They're not completely evil, and yet they're not really "good guys" either. They were my first true 40k army, and not that the new Codex is out for them I think it's time I had another go at them.
Dark Eldar don't necesarily do quite so much for me. Models are very important to me, and that's the one area where DE are found wanting. Their rules are fairly balanced for the most part, they too are a finesse army like Eldar, but I don't think I would ever bother building an army of them. Evil just doesn't suit me, I much prefer the good side.
