Are you lucky on the tabletop?

A sudden thought occured to me, almost every 40K/Fantasy player I have ever met online has said if asked that they're unlucky. I was just wondering what most people on LO thought. I hypothesise that there'll be alot more unlucky than lucky people out there.

Every time you read this sig: a fairie dies!

I am mostly unluckey. I have had one moment of good luck though. Back in my noobish days, I put that +1 armor thing on my chaos rhino. My friend decided to shoot it with a railhead. He hits. he needs a 2+ to hit. He rolls... a 1. My squad was saved, and after that, my rhino ever died in any battle I fought after that.

Every game i've played in both fantasy and 40k i have had horrible luck, and it always comes when i need the decent rolls the most, whether it be needing that glancing hit from an ork rokkit launcha, or that all import rally test before my eternal guard run off the table.
Then again, even with all my bad luck i still enjoy my games which is the main thing.

I've been relatively out of luck, too, to be honest...

However, my Eldar buddy... yeesh. He should really play a MEQ army... he can make a 3+ save without thinking twice. Over and over and over. Cursed Warp Spiders..

    Pretty much evens out.
ie: We're having a pair of games one after the other.
First game, my opponent Bladestorms at my Assault Marines. 13 wounds. 1 dead.
Second game, my opponent fires warp spiders at a 7-strong tactical squad in cover. 8 wounds. 7 dead marines.

As a general point, I tend to be really unlucky if I have to charge into cover, but really lucky when it comes to moving consoledating models into contact with new units.

If I'm rolling for something inconsequential I do ok but as soon as it's important the dice gods seem to shun me! I once had a squad of 4 CSM bikers killed my an Imperial Guard squad due to terrible dice rolls  I lost the objective and the game because of it!

I'm a guard fan who loves his ordinance rolls. There was one game I was playing with a demolisher and russ against a nid army. I hit every darn roll square on save one, it scattered off... a grand total of one inch. That was also the same battle in which 6 guardsmen, blown out of their chimera took down three tyranid warriors in cc. That was a fun battle

I won a wooden spoon for being the unluckiest player in a campaign a couple of weeks ago. I fought a Dark Elf Army (basic toughness 3) with a Beasts of Chaos Army (including dragon ogres with great weapons-strength 7) and he did not suffer a single casualty.
