Hey guys I am new to the forums and I was wondering I started an orc army with the BFSP set, and I wanted to have two armies orc and empire so I wanted to buy a 6th editon boxed starter set, could anyone tell me if the orc miniatures in it are current or older, and if they are do they still look good?
all the models in the old starter set are basically the simplest form of models. They are good models, but they arent as detailed as the ones you buy in separate boxes. They are almost indistiguishable if mixed in together with other models, but if they are in groups then, you probably will notice a difference. The basic troopers for orcs hasnt changed, but then also, you have a different version of orcs in that boxed set. They basically all have 2 hand weapons and thats that. The WarBoss that can be created and the chariot are really good though. I bought this set too, a couple years back, and i thought it was worth it. The only problem would be a current rulebook, but you want the battle for skull pass set also, so that covers that. I think you should get that, but if you live in the states, you might want to look into the battalion overdrive. You get a big box of orcs, bfsp, and a special edition fanatic goblin. for a discount i think.....

i hope you have fun mate!
First off welcome! Second of all I agree with toast if you just want to play Orcs. The amount of stuff you will actually use in your army for Orcs is not worth the price. If you are going to play Empire as well then it makes it worth while. Imo the single war-machine and hangunners plus the orcs will make it worth the cost. Enjoy
