I voted Grey Knight Terminators because they're the only ones I've ever used in my first army. They're pretty solid CC units, but they don't have anything that can ignore Invulnerable saves in CC. I'd also love for them to be able to get lightning claws like other Termies get, I don't think it'd be unfluffy. They'd be hard to use right anyway what with the lack of shooting weapons and the DS.

On a side note I have considered adding a squad of Hardened Veterans to my DH army - it'd be a great surprise to my opponents - who else has thought of that? Too bad the Leman Russ requires two troops choices and not just two infantry or else I'd use that option all the time.

Possibly more powerful is a nicely-equipped squad of XV8s. Crisis suits can be built to kill just about anything except the biggest tanks, and can be used so that they almost never get touched. Except by other really fast units like Eldar. It sounds like Howling Banshees could tear them new ones all over the place. But each unit has another unit that makes it seem a waste to field against. It's all in the strategy.

You forgot Tyranid Warriors!!! A squad tooled up can take out GK termies, Obliterators, Immortals, even the Nightbringer on the charge. THAT is the best Elite. OF course, they get shot to hell, but that's another story.....

xv8s all the way. giving them crazy weapons and then being able to move an shoot both and then mvonig in the assault phase. then on top of that although they have 2 wounds, u can give them shield generators for a 4+ save and then for another 30 points. u get another 2 wounds for drones. 1 good squad can have 6 wounds before the crisis even start gettin hurt
