As mentioned in a previous thread I'm constructing a breakdown of warhammer and 40K armies, and wanted to know if I had a complete list, or was missing anything significant.
I've listed specialist games, and then armies, although Imperial Guards and Space Marines have been subdivded at the bottom. Most of my info has been obtained from wikipedia, so I'll blame that if needed.
Man O' War
Ral Partha/ Pre Slotta
Beasts of Chaos
Dogs of War
Hordes of Chaos
Orcs & Goblins
Warhammer 40K Armies
Chaos Space Marines
Sisters Of Battle
Imperial Guard ===>
Cadian Shock Troopers
Catachan Jungle Fighters
Mordian Iron Guard
Space Marine s===>
Well, there are no Norse or Fimir rules, so I assume you are also using background. In that case, you might want to include Hrud under 40k.
If you think Mathammer doesn't work and dice cannot be predicted, there's a whole field of mathematics called probability that would like to disagree.
Are you looking for the listing for playable armies? Are you looking to including varient lists. For example under fantasy there are the Skaven break offs for Clan Esshin from Storm of chaos and the Bubonic Court from Lustria. Dwarves have the slayer list. Vampire Counts have the Sylvania army. High Elves the Lothern Sea guard, etc.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
Sisters of Battle is no longer an independent army list. It is subsumed entirely within the Witch Hunters.
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
RIP Warhammer 40,000: 21 Sep 1998 - 24 May 2014
is this a list of fluff armies? or real playable armies?
coz if its fluff it should also have araby in WHFB and in 40k the Loxatl (and infinitly more xenos races).
if its a list about playable armies it should have the kroot and ork speed freaks.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
Voor alle nederlanders:
The Dutch Legion
Don't forget the Kroot or Dark Angels:realmad:
Check out ==My== blog: www.bnhblog.blogspot.com
There is the Imperial Guard Armored Company then the new Death Corpes of Krieg and then the Mecanized, Drop-troop, and Grenadiers lists for Guard
If you do things right people wont be sure if you have done anything at all.
Also you might want to include the armies you can play for the specialst games. The different fleets for Battlefleet Gothic for example.
Check out my Codex: Farmyard Animals here!
If anyone wants any kind of help writing fluff for any kind of GW army just ask.
Rabble! Rabble rabble! Raaaaable!
Add Kroot Mercs, damnit!

Thanks everyone, I've updated some of my list with your suggestions. I can't tell you what the list is for as it would (quiet rightly) contravene advertising, but if you use a large online auction site, you will see minor changes in listing/searching.
