Escalation (so I believe its called) is a another wargame, and they pretty good models. Has anyone had the pleasure to play it?
As much as it kills me, the French make the best models without a doubt. I applaud them.
Indeed, the French do make great minis. Check out the Rackham minis. They're so freakin' detailed. I could've sworn they were 54mm, but nope, they're 28mm. Great stuff.
Racham's models are great...but such a paaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnn to paint. So detailed, with all the little stuff on it. i've started a few and never finished them.
Even as stand-alone pieces, I prefer to concentrate on vast areas of cloth and skin than on belts, scrolls, knives, and so on. To each his own.
I've played confrontation a few times. Good, if you keep it with few models.
A full game, Ragnarok, has also been released. Not bad, but not great either. The big advantage is that you have the full rules in one book, while with confrontation, you need to buy a spellcaster to have the rules on spellcasting. Annoying to keep track.
