I havent played my Salamanders for QUITE some time now. iv gotten addicted to my eldar. i was thinking about selling them to fund either the start of tau or Vampire counts.
have u guys sold armies? do u regret it?
the reason i dont want to is because i LOVED them. they were my ultimate whoop ass army.
but the eldar offer so much more. and i HATE paiting marines. i want to is for the money and so i dont ahve the guilt of them sitting in a cornor. ..What should i do/what have u done? Thx for the help.
<insert witty remark here>
Well I would regret selling my army that I work hard on painting and doing it. But if you really want to sell them to get fast money, well do it but can't you wait until you make some money and then buy your eldars...you never know you might not regret it the moment you sell the army but after one month or even a week and it's gonna be too late...
i would never sell an army if i put my painting and building effort into it

I do not sell, unless I am a 100% sure I do not want it. I have no regrets selling pieces I no longer wanted. Give it a moments thought before you think about selling your army. Like the joy of seeing a fully painted army ready for play or all that time you spent on it.
If Wolves were meant to fly, wouldn’t the Emperor have given them wings?
I would never sell an army. Why not? Cos I invested a lot of time and money in every army, and I know I'd regret it the rest of my life (okay that might not be that long, but you get the picture).
Ze titles yez...
When in doubt,
Smite.<SilverMane> I would trust BID with my life
<SilverMane> HEIL BID!
<Adrian-> BiD is Omnipotent; All Knowing, All Powerful!
<Scary_Troopers> I see you as an optimist, GT. : D
But what of the midgets!?

When me and my wife were first married we had absolutely no money and a child on the way so I sold my 5000+ point FULLY painted dwarf army. To this day I regret doing that, even though we needed the money badly. I would pay a lot more than I sold them for to get them all back at this point.
To be the devil's advocate:
although the army has brought you much joy over time, just think how much joy they can bring someone else, who may not wish to paint an entire army (which is basically green). And also reflect how much money you will save by using your sales to buy your new army, and how much fun you will have building that army from the ground up.
Then track down the kid who bought your army off EBay, challenge him to a game, and slaughter those traitors that would side with another general!!!!
Death to the followers of the corpse-god!!!!! All will be dust!!!!
 At first, I thought you were gonna head along the lines of "...track down that kid who bought your army off Ebay, challenge him to a fight, kick his ass, and take your army back"Then track down the kid who bought your army off EBay, challenge him to a game, and slaughter those traitors that would side with another general!!!!
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
Personally I would NEVER sell any of my old armies(Old Ultramarines) since I think its cool to have them and I spent too much time and effort on them to let go of them.

I once was going to sell my necrons to fuel my funds for my dark elves... but when it came down to the actual sale I didn't have the heart to part with my crons, all that time building and painting just seems to mean to much. Even though I still havn't played with them in a really long time... I doubt I could sell them even now.
