A few weeks ago, I gave blood at a local blood center. Usually after giving blood, you get a few gifts (i.e. T-shirt, movie tickets, etc). Among these gifts I got a small white plastic frisbee. I was about to throw it away when I noticed that the size of the frisbee is very similar to a CD/DVD. One of the Forge World reps recommended using a old CD/DVD as your base for the Trygon. And that really surprised me considering this base is much larger than my Winged Hive Tyrant. If I were to use the frisbee, I wasn't sure if I should make the base as is, or invert the frisbee and put the Trygon inside the base. One of the biggest issues I saw was the fact that when inverting the frisbee, its depth is pretty close to 1". So I really wasn't sure if I could make a good looking base with that much depth.
So I'd like to get comments/suggestions on how I can pull this off.
I took a few more reference shots for thos that have never seen the Trygon. I used some temporary "blue tac" adhesive to put the Trygon's lower torso and tail, along with a few Imperial Guard reference pieces to help with scale:

Thanks in advance.

Rudy...Why don't you fill up the frisbeeso that the Trygon isn't sitting an inch below the lip? Granted, it'll be a pretty thick base but at least the Trygon will be visible from the ground up. It'll also give the model a lower center of gravity which will make it less likely to topple over if it accidently get knocked.
Just my 2 cents...I'll post more if I think of something.
I hear voices...and they don't like you!
Could have it be water effects swamp like thus giving him the illusion of floating and the bits would be half submerged
