    28mm scale?

I know nothing about any of these games, except some of the minis are pretty cool - so are the models 28mm? I've scouted about and couldn't find a definitive answer - is it different for each game?

Final question, would you be upset if a warmachine mini made it's way into a 40k army - friendly games only, obviously? Some of these minis look like they could easily make an Inquisition style 40k force with a lot of character - and a great £££ saving too

I considered using the Cannon in place of an Empire Great Cannon. Then I realised it would be more expensive. Maybe one day.

To your original question, I think it's 30mm scale, though don't quote me on it.

If it is 30mm, would the difference be notable? I mean, size matters, apparently, but 2mm?

It's not that noticeable, but if you look closely, you can definitely see one.

ED: Thing is that PP bases are considerably bigger. Not sure if they sell them independently like GW do, but if you plan on using GW figures, I'd say it would be a good idea to pick some up.

I was thinking of possibly using PP figures in 40k, rather than the other way round - they'd fit on the terminator bases wouldn't they?

Depends on what you plan to use as the Termies. Warjacks, for example, would be better off as Dreadnoughts.

Yep, Warmachine and Hordes are 30mm, and the difference is sometimes noticeable, just depends upon the model. On average, "human" sized models are a tad larger.

The base sizes are 30mm, 40mm and 50mm. Off the top of my head the 30mm bases match up to the small GW bases. The 40mm are definitely the same as a terminator sized base, but a 50mm base isn't as big as a monstrous creature base.

Almost correct, the 30mm are just a little bigger than GWs small bases (Which are 25mm).
GWs bases go 25, 40, 60, I seem to remember.

Ahhh, cheers, I always seemed to think the smalls were a tiny bit different, but I thought the round shoulder was tricking me...

Well, in fantasy you might face problems when ranking them up (at least those with broad-legged poses), but they often enough fit in well.
I personally have adopted Croe's Cutthroats into my Fantasy Empire army. They do well as militia/free company/crossbowmen.
They are also nice for Mortheim.
It ain't easy bein' green... :-)
