Default P3 Paints: Privateer Press Paints

Just tried some of the new P3 paints from PP. It goes on very smoothly and I did not need to thin it at all. Covers well and the colors of the ones I have (Cygnar set) look really nice. The articles I read on them describe it as a satiny finish and I can see why.

Now that i've tried them I'll get the Earth tone ones (Merc set).

A friend of mine did a comparison of one coat of three different paints over a black prime...

Citadel Kommando Khaki
Valejo GC Khaki
P3 Khaki

The Citadel and Valejo looked like they both needed several more coats (as I'm sure you've all experienced). The P3 Khaki looked done after one coat. I've been apprehensive about picking a new paintline, but damn, the coverage is beautiful.

I seem to be having to opposite experiences.
I have the Menoth set and Merc set. and neither cover well(streaking and/or poor coverage).

Hmm, maybe your paints have a problem. Try sending them back to PP for a new set, since I've only heard good things about them.

Yes, I have too only heard (and seen) good things about them. Maybe you shake them to little? When the sepereate pots come I'll most likly pick up a few.

The latest issue of No Quarter Magazine (#12) came with a free bottle of P3 paint! Its brass, and they call it Brass Balls
