You can take squads of 8 or so for deepstriking and expect to lose a few when they come in. This is the 'delivery cost' of deepstriking termies of any ilk.
Last time I DS-d a unit, half of them died thx to terrain, the other half got their "highknee" handed to them by the Wraithlord .

I rather march them, hence i prefer 500-1000 points games, i don't use LR/LRC. They rock, if God of the Dices say so, but when charging, and the best is a "2", u loose faith in them.
Still, take a squad of 4-5 + BC or GM, and before the match, offer a sandwitch, a half chicken or a Snickers bar to the God ofthe Dices
Tacticall advantage is not everything, when your dice fails you XD.
(for example: fire dragons versus gkt-s, guess who got really surprised )

Played them a squad of GKT twice now, both times against chaos and both times they have torn up all before them.

Tonight they chewed out the raptors and lash-prince running through my lines, and then made surprising speed down a difficult hillside to smash the predator contesting my objective - all while pinning down and whittling down the chaos player's one remaining troop choice.

Can't argue with their performance so far, though I keep running into the chaos players when I field them (unintentional, it's just worked out that way)

Grey Knight Terminators rule, they have great killing power and units and upgrades to fill in their weaknesses,
Land Raider Crusader for greater movement
    Incinerator for nasties like Harlequins
    Holocaust for Hordes
    GrandMaster for biggies

The day when we are allowed a 3++ Stormshield and yet still mix even SS/NFW every player will want to play GK's

I think the key thing with grey knight termintors is to put 2-3 psycannons in there. A HQ BC followed with a normal elite squad of terminators can have 2-3 psycannons. And if you keep them at good range, shrouding will save their butt lots of times.

As a melee squad, they are good, but definitely not much of power houses in the long run. I always use my terminators as mobile fire platform.

I use them in my IG army as a counter charge unit and they haven't failed me yet. They work wonders as simple intimidation and when i get charged(inevitable when you play IG like me) they can wade through many opponents.

Yes you are! Welcome. The Elite Brother captain can also take one (see his wargear selection). Then take an HQ choice of a BC or GM also with a Psycannon and put them with the Elite Termy squad. Viola! you have three Psycannons.

Ahh thats what confuses me. I thought that if it said one model, then that would include the BC aswell.

Yah it does include the BC when it comes to the options of the unit. But the BC (elite) can also take selections from the wargear list, to which psycannon is one of them. And power to Mr. Diggums for explaining while I was busy sleeping!
