Actually, I think it looks quite nice.If it were me, I'd have painted the hammer head a different color than the armour. Right now, it doesn't stand out at all, and look really bland and, well, not "powerful" like a Nemesis Force Weapon ought. You don't have to do any fancy blending, even just a couple of drybrushes with a couple different shades of (choose your poison) blue or red or yellow or green (over a black basecoat) would look great.
Similarly, while the tabard looks good, it is also very similar in tone to your armour. I would recommend either changing the color entirely or brightening it up into a purer white.
But these niggles aside, you've done a nice job. Really.![]()
ninjabackhand: point and click, again, really? even after i give you an military term "shock tactic" you still call it point and click.
yeah been slowly drybrushimg the tabard with white today, hopefully made it lighter been thinking of painting the hammer white and thenwashing with asureman blue (think its called) so it looks loads better

I too think you have done a pretty reasonable job for your first GK, as these guys have a heck of a lot of detail on them as well as an abundance of flat metal plate.
One hint about the washes: water them down a bit more so that they still lend a hue to the silvered areas but are less likely to "pool" on the flat places. Either that or else just keep a wary eye out for it happening.
As far as the power weapons are concerned: a watered down Hawk Turquoise blended with a watered down white also makes things look "force weapon like", and suggests the electricity involved too.

yeah stripping the force weapon as we speak also noticed i forgot to stick a left hand on lol
HA! had to look twice, didnt even see the hand missing
But yeah, I agree with the above, you have done a reasonable job, definately table top worthy
Also have to agree on the hammer, although you have mentioned you are in the process of changing it up, so all good.

cheers for the advice guys will post a pic when i dne it![]()

Oh! Something else worth mentioning! If you have a pin vice, it is definitely worth your while to drill out the storm bolter barrels. Makes a HUGE difference.
