In a new chaos codex, a defiler and a dreadnought have S6 (not S6(1as we see in SM codex) CC weapon. If their CC weapon is destroyed, they will have S6 non-power weapon attacks.?
thanks

The new codex will crush me.
Ooh, stronger daemons. time to smash.
meh, i don't really care/know.
weaker baddies, what a relief.
the new codex will nerf chaos to an unnaceptable level.
do IW stil get their 4 heavies in the FOC? I don't see much changing in the new dex the odds are still against me. But the Emperor protects and I have superior fluff and models then the foul chaos scum.

Aside from modelling and painting, there is no such thing as legion specific rules. Period.
I wish they had included some special characters to allow for it though, like the DA have with belial and such.
They have hinted that there may be later releases of mini-dexes for legion rules.
W/D/L Eleventy trillion billion/NONE/ NONE - I am STILL rulezor!
WINDMILLS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!
Good news: Chaos walkers no longer have S10 CC weapon and 13+ front armour and having no indirect fire on defiler is even better.
Bad news: having T5/T6 feel no pain / 4+ invul save models is a pain in the ars to deal with.
It's all good.I only played against this new chaos army list one and I look forward to playing it more in the future. Overall, i don't think i'm going to change my armylist much.

Hey there mate. Check out the rules for dreadnought close combat weapons in the main rule book.
I know you're arguing over a technicality because it doesn't say (1in brackets. But let's be honest, that's not what the rules are intented to be eh?
Sorry to break it to ya but, Chaos do indeed have 2 Strength 10 CC weapons, and potentially 6 in their army.
Cheers ;Y

Chaos has got some new and improved (and definately simplified) stuff.
Too bad I have to fear Tcheenz marines for their shooting gunsGuess I'll need to charge them ASAP
And I like what they did for the deamons. Too bad that our "instability" psychic power is now totally useless... But I like the idea of not having to deal with armor ignoring weapons from rending or bloodletters![]()

Well, I am Chaos, so I voted for the first option... cause I hope it's that good lol. No really, I can't wait to get my hands on this book.

I have a friend who has a copy of the new chaos codex (he bought the new chaos box) and was looking through it. Being a space marine player I made comparisons to that army. The standard marine troop choice that is the closest MEQ of a tactical marine, while also having "uber grit" come with frag grenades and krak grendades and all for the same point cost as a tactical marine which comes with nothing but a bolter. WTF.
But then I thought about GK with their true grit suddenly being heavily overshadowed, especialy with their point cost being MORE then the new 1,000 sun units (also with uber grit, frag and krak grenades, and of course the invul save and ap 3 bolters).
And then I thought about how I shouldn't whine becuase the space marines are GW's love child and they actualy update them...
I feel bad for you guys...
