my brother doesn't like this list but I feel it would be relatively easy do beat...
1 L2 Dragon Mage w/ Ring of Fury and Silver Wand = 435
10 Archers w/ Musician = 115
5 Dragon Princes w/ Full Command and Banner of Sorcery = 250
5 Dragon Princes w/ Full Command = 200
Well, I like it because I like the theme but what do you think? Is it too cheesy or too Fragile?

Eh personally I think you might get mauled every game, but thats just me. You have an alarmingly low model count and your dragon is going to get his head blown off if your opponent has anything akin to a cannon or stone thrower. Personally I feel Dragons in general are too expensive for for games under 2k points, and even then they are a big chunk of your army.
Actually, AFAIK, the new HE are the only army that can take a Dragon in games under 2k, so I'm not sure what you're trying to generalize. But anyways, back on topic, Dragon Mages are indeed expensive as hell, but in games under 2k, only 2 armies (Empire and Dwarves) are going to have access to cannons, and only 3 armies are going to have access to bolt throwers (Dwarves, HE, DE). You won't see cannons in other armies because they eat your rare slot and are DoW. I'd actually be more worried about masses of S3 shooting knicking the rider off the Dragon, but as long as you pass the bound monster test, you're still good.
Aside from that, heavy cavalry is really hard to kill in small games without other heavy cavalry, and unlike other heavy cavalry, Dragon Princes can actually charge a ranked unit in the front and win. However, you are not allowed to take multiple copies of that Banner of Sorcery, so you'll need to find another option. I'd find a way to scrape together 10 more points and add a Dragon Prince to each unit to go 6 wide.
Yeah-sorry, the 2nd banner was a mistake. The games I've played with that list so far have been massacres really. It actually made me feel genuinely bad for my opponent. I played a few games since I posted and I managed to get the first turn (+1 for finishing deployment 1st lol) and flew the mage so he wasn't in the fire arc and blasted whatever heavy shooting he had with my 8-10 power dice and bound spell. Apparently that's mean (like it's really that bad...really) so now to of my friends call me a beardy elf and my brother refuses to play against me when I use this list. Played the list vs. Empire gunline (which had it coming), Dark Elves, and Wood Elves. Dwarfs, Chaos, Skaven, Orcs and Goblins have me worried though. Weight of numbers should just drown me.
