Trying to come up with a competitive 1000pt list and these were my thoughts...
Mage, lv2, ring of fury
15 spearmen, FC
15 spearmen, FC
5 Dragon princes, banner
Basic plan is to sit back and blast away with mages and RBT's with the spears as a defensive wall and the DP's to counter attack and smash small units. have used it once and it generally worked, only being let down by some horrific dice rolling (2 fury's of Khaine, 2 short range RBT's = 6dead skeletons... Hmmm...)

This list could work though I think you will have a hard time against horde armies and fast moving armies. It's quite risky to include a banner in your DP unit if it's not a warbanner. I they don't break the unit on the charge they are going to be toast due to static combat res so be sure you can break them on the charge.
For reasons unknown I don't like your spearmen setup. I always filed them 18 strong for 3X6 but this depends on where you intend to hide your mages. If you are keeping them in the RBTs they will quickly fall to flyers or scouts so I would consider one big unit of spearmen to hide them in and a small unit of white lions to flank with.
This leaves you with enough speed, magic, shooting and some CC prowess as well.
Hope it helped:happy:

I agree with the comments made by herman1004. Spearmen ideally should be in units of 17+ if you intend to keep them is small units like this you might be well advised to loose their standards since they will almost certainly break when charged and you will give away the points for the standard. Small units of DP's are best without standards ( the W being an exception, for the reasoning given above.
