So, I'm playing in a campaign and we need to have a 500pt army prepared. This is the army that I've been running, and I want to know what kind of tweaking or ajusting I'd want to be running here. Obviously, comments and criticisms are more than just welcome.
Noble w/ great weapon, heavy armor, Reaver Bow
14 Lothern Seaguard w/ Standard Bearer, Shields
6 Silver Helms w/ Standard Bearer, War Banner
The typical tactic is for me to deploy the LSG in two ranks, 8+7, with the Noble up front. Their shooting usually starts in on a unit. If that unit is "hard", they are charged by the Silvers. If the enemy units are all "soft", then I shoot one, and charge the Silvers into another. So far the list as only come CLOSE to losing once, but is undefeated by the currect WoC, Beastmen, and even an Ogre list.
Well since you are the only one posting at others lists I think it's fair and square that someone posts in your posts!
I like your list, but as I'm no fan of LSG and an ever bigger not-fan of SH I'd give it a different approach.
14 Spearmen 151
6 Dragon Princes
This combined with your Noble totals 498 p.
Although this means your spearmen must stand still and that your noble is more vulnerable, you get more for the points, a vital point in such small games.
Hope it helped!
5000p. High Elves
Can the silver helms take a magic banner?
I like the list in general though, the shooting can protect your flanks from fast stuff reasonably well.
I would suggest deploying the seagaurd 10 wide, you can reduce frontage (by up to 5 models) before they are charged and it counts as moving not reforming. Those extra 3 shots per turn can be invaluable.
Good Luck anyway
