Well I was thinking of taking Teclis but I think I will wait until larger games. Could you guys tell me when you think about this list of Lords and Heroes for 2250?
-Ring of Fury 330
-Dispel Scroll 170
-Starstaff of Saphery 175
-Dragon Armor and Shield 158
I will most likely have a large unit of Phoenix Guard to put my LvL 4 in and keep the BSB near. There will be a Banner of Sorcery in there too. Should I take Teclis instead? Part of me doesn't like taking special characters but I think I would budge on this one if it would make a large difference.

Well, first you need to get rid of the Seerstaff from either your Mage or your Archmage because you can only have one.
Second, if neither you or or opnonent have something against Special Characters, then I'd go with Teclis. If your oponent doesn't like it then I'd, though nothing forces you, not take him.
It's a lot of points invested in Characters here, and IMO you only get a massive points sink, but hey, it's your list. Might want to add Enchanted shield for you BSB, or a Great Weapon and Gem of Courage.
5000p. High Elves
His BSB cant have magic items
Yes, his BSB can have magic items as long as he does not option for a magical banner. Most BSBs in the Army Books can either take a magic banner or 50 points of magic items.
5000p. High Elves
O that sort of makes sense.
Fail Reading by me
My daughter play Teclis and we both love him. Yes he is expensive but let us look at him. A special dispell scroll which not only gets rid of that spell but might remove it from the mind of the enemy caster. A fourth level vamp losing raise is worth the look on the other guys face. Of course he has a big relief when it fails. I have problems remembering to use that one sometimes. His double ability is a real plus. He has casted drain magic against the undead on a 2, 2, and 3. Against the Empire the other day with two dispell scrolls they still had one when thier last caster died. He gets to ignore the first miscast of a turn. My daughter rolled three miscast against warriors of chaos, Teclis did two. His sword is wonderful but he is not a close combat person. Would not it be great to give that sword to your hero.
