ok my list is very high magic and i was wondering what i needed to change to make it a better well rounded list but still keep the magic thanks for reading
Teclis : XXX
mage #1: Lvl 2, seer staff : 165
mage# 2: Lvl 2 annaulian crystal : 175
10: archers : XXX
10: archers : XXX
15: spear men; full command :160
21: swordmasters; full command :345
15: pheonix guard: full command :260
2: bolt throwers... : XXX
ok so basicaly i will put teclis and one other mage in the unit of pheonix guard to give them protection and put the other mage into the unit of swordmasters (my big hitters : ) ) i would put the sword masters infront of the PG unit and the spear men to protect one of the flanks.... teclis ageinst low LD armies.. (skinks, goblins) will take the Lore of shadows and the mage with the seer staff will also take the lore of shadows and get the pit of shades spell. It used the big template and any unit uder it takes a unmodefied LD test if failed it dies (great for taking out stegadons....) the other mage will be taking the HE magic
In future, can you please not post points costs of characters and units without upgrades - GN out

Swordmasters and Phoenix Gaurd are backwards in terms of unit sizes.
You need to re-read your spell lores as well, Pit of Shades uses only the small template and you take an initiative test not a leadership test. Still great for killing Slaan and dwarves though. I also think that it's casting cost is too high for a L2 mage to cast reliably, a failed spell is a waste of casting dice, so casting costs of over 9 or 10 need 4 dice really.
Only put Teclis in the Phoenix Gaurd, it is too many eggs in one basket for 2 mages to be in there. Put the both the other mages in the archer units.
thanks for the info i forgot about that small detail with the spells (i dont have the Rule book for fantacy...) i will keep the mage thing in mind i usually like rinning my sword masters in rows of 7 but if im facing anything with larger base sise i reformat them into rows 2 larger that the enamys line.... more attacks the better : )
Your lists looks good. I like someone that is not scared to use Teclis. My daughter nine spoiled rotten and I am to blame uses him. It is really hard to choose the lore until you know the army you are facing. WoC and Bretonnias need the lore of metal. Some enemies just cry out for the lore of fire. Undead generals say the lore of light or heaven works against them. Of course they do not want us using the drain magic spell of them. The HE lore is very good.
Now on to comments.
One you have to protect the sword masters. Some kind of magic shield or use terrain.
Two the mages need some forest or terrain to jump into to avoid close combat.
oh so you mean like when i get close to getting in combat make the mages disperse so they are out of reach of the enamy units? and so that i could get for attacks in that are better right?
Yes you can move Teclis into a RBT crew or into the forest where the charging unit can not see him. Make sure that he can see something to throw magic at. Sometimes it does not work and remember you have to be so close to a unit for it to lend his leadership. Teclis is not a close combat guy because he only gets one attack. If he takes fire lore the flaming sword is an opinion if he has to get into combat.
Grady you have no hope of beating me ever. So do not try. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
