Welcome to Librarium Online!
i'm going to the GW tomorrow, and i made this list to try out there.
dragon mage, lv2, silverwand, guardian phoenix, sword of might.
15 spearmen, f.c.
15 white lions, f.c, lion standard, amulet of fire
5 dragon princes, f.c, banner of ellyrion, skeinsliver
the idea is to start with the blocks in the middle, and a chariot racing along with them. the dragon mage will go on a flank and the dragon princes on the other one. korhil joins the white lions, and because of this they will have stubborn ld 9 and are immune to fear and terror. sounds good to me. the dragon mage has now 3 spells, 4 power dice and 1 power dice for every spel it trys to cast. the dragon princes have the banner of ellyrion so they can move true difficlt terrain and the champion has the skeinsliver for an additonal +1 for the first turn. and because the army is pretty small, i think i also have +1 because i'm probably eer done with positioning my army, which makes +2.
what do you think of this army??
Personally I dont see the point in putting Korhil in the White Lions.
Instead I would either put him in the spearmen or, even better, take him and the lion standard out and replace them with Caradryan. This means the unit will be immune to fear anyway, as well as having magic resistance 3.
Also I personally dont rate spearmen so I would personally switch them for archers.
Good luck though
I agree with stratovarian. Would really be better to put him in the Spearmen to give them more punch...
you've got a point, but i don't like caradryan leading white lions or korhil leading spearmen. i just want korhil in a unit white lions and giving them a lion standard and amulet of fire is the best option in my eyes. i choose spearmen in stead of archers because the whole army is going forward, so leaving one weak unit behind is not so smart. that's why i take the spearmen, and they can do very well in close combat too.
I'd listen to the guys above, Caradryan is a formidable character on the tabletop and on paper and those bonuses he will give the white lions is fantastic. I wouldn't swap out spearmen for archers though, I would make that unit far more powerful, like this:
Core: 25 Spear-Elves.
Full Command Group.
Total: 275 points.
This is your best bet, they will nearly always outnumber, they get 3+ rank bonus, +2 for the Standard Bearer with Warbanner and with 16 strength 3 attacks at least a couple of hits will make it through the enemy so they could make nearly anything flee when ranked up like that.
