Okay, so i've been trying to get my Fantasy High Elves army up and going, but have been running into some problems with the list. I can't seem to really figure out a solid list at 2K points, and I'm not even really sure of what direction I want to take. I know for certain that my army is centered arround the Shrine of Asuryan. Phoenix Guard are my favorite models from the army, and their stats are awsome too. So here's what I got so far.
lvl 2, Seerstaff of Saphery, Amulet of Fire
Lothern Sea Guard (Calling them Asuryan Guard) 285
20, full command, shields
Lothern Sea Guard (Calling them Asuryan Guard) 220
15, full command, shields
Phoenix Guard 280
15, Full command, Helm of Fortune
Bolt Thrower 100
Bolt Thrower 100
That has me at 1749, meaning i have a good 250 points worth I can spend. Now do I take a Prince with 100 points worth of gear, or take another Mage decked out little a little better. Am i sinking points into sea guard when I should just be taking Spearmen? Any criticism and opinions on what I should do would be extremely beneficial to me.

I would probs split you archer regiments into 3 of 10 without command but if you wanted to add command would only total 3 points more! this will give you much more options in shooting! As you will probs have loads of choices to shoot at anyway (why not shoot at them all)
I would then drop the sea guard down to spears leaving you points to buy some shadow walkers or something which can annoy any enemy warmachines or flanks !(reavers/eagles)
Also you might want to consider taking another special unit becuase your PG are not going to be able to be everywhere at once. SM are good.
I'm only a beginner myself but thats my advice, hope its of some help
On the LSG, depends what you want them to do! Against low T / AS armies 3x7 on a hill with FC and Warbanner is awesome. SCR 5 (2 rank, 2 banner, 1 hill) and 36 S3 attacks (stand and shoot + ASF + champion) before they strike. If you want a combat unit, go for spears, if you want shooting go for archers. Archers are actually surprising in cc; obviously they're mullered by knights and good saves, but against warmachine hunters - light cav, harpies, etc - with stand and shoot and ASF they don't do too badly at all!
Also Phoenix guard aren't superkilly, so I'd recommend full rankbonus and also to outnumber for fear-autofleeing coolness.
Also at 2k 1 mage is just going to get dispelled. So i'd say swap him to a Lvl1 with 2 Dispel scrolls and stay purely defensive. The remaining points, an eagle to marchblock, a noble with greatweapon and reaverbow (my favourite, so i always say this, feel free to ignore) to be the general and beef up the combat of a unit of spears. Since Caradryan is aiming to die to a cool enemy in order to kill them, I'd rather he's not general! If you're not planning to get him killed, make the noble a BSB also for the extra combat res and rerolls.
Finally, I think HoF is a bit of a waste on the phoenix guard champ, I'd rather have one of the cool items available. If you haven't put the warbanner elsewhere, have that! Otherwise, Skiensliver, Dragon horn, Talisman of light or armour of caledor are pretty useful!
