I played a bit with my HE lately, and came up with this list for an upcoming tournament. What do you think? I know the list is pretty static, but our ASF ability makes me want to play it like that.
Archmage lvl 4 with scroll, ring of fury, silver wand. 330
Mage lvl 2 with seerstaff of saphery, scroll. 185
Bsb with Battle Banner, Halberd, barded mount, shield, dragon armour. 218
Noble with Reaver Bow, Halberd, barded mount, enchanted shield, dragon armour. 161
19 Phoenix Guards with full command, Banner of Sorcery. 365
19 White Lions, Full command, Banner of the lion. 340
20 Sea Guards with shields, Full command, War Banner. 306
i think it's a good solid list, but i would take the LSG out and put some more specials in. Maybe some Cav to support your chariot, or a unit of shadow warriors to harras your enemy's flank. for the amount of points you spend on your LSG you could even take a dragon!
so it's a good list, and if you love your LSG models stick to it, but i think a more elite army will be better
Not bad, but remember that at this game level you only need 2 core - so if you already have battle plans for exactly these gentlemen go with it, otherwise I'd swap an Archer unit with some Shadow Warriors for some disturbing.
Humm that is true. If I remove the Chariot and an Archer unit, I have the points for 12 Shadow Warriors (or 2 units of 6). Would that be a better choice ?
i think putting 12 Shadow warriors in would be really fun to play with because you can hide a really strong unit near the enemy's flank you will really surprise your enemy with such a tactic, so it might work
A big, bad, hatred unit on a flank? yes it could be naaasty
