trying to put togethr a 2000 list and here is was i got so far any ideas for tweeking it or changing it about??
20 spearmen - standard, musician
5 shadow warriors
5 shadow warriors
5 dragon princes - standard
15 sword masters
No magic items on your mages?
no items as yet, i could shave off a few spearmen and put a scroll or 2 on the mages, but dont want to weaken them to much so they get steam rolled by the first unit that they come across, but teclis and 2 lvl 2's should generate enough dispell dice to cope with most magic phases, no ?
i think you can cope most magic from enemy's but you can really boost your own magic phase by shoosing the right items. the silver wand, Jewel of the dusk, and Seerstaff, are some of the most powerful items we can get... and they are cheap!
so i would take out a unit of archers, beef the mages up, maybe add the magic banner, and fill the rest of the points up with extra spearmen.

'Its better to have a swordmaster and not need her help, then to need her help and not have her'
Byjugo's WIP Thread
If you only want to generate DD, a lvl1 is exactly the same as a lvl 2 mage...but it costs 35 points less.
Anyways, I totally agree with Byjugo. 3 core is not compulsory at 2000, so IMO less and more solid units are better than more naked units.
Hope this helped.
EDIT: oh, and if you free up those points, some commands on DP and SM wouldn't look bad either
