The guy im playing against is a real pro, and im beginner so its hard for me to come upp with a nice list.
hes often using 2 blocks of saurus w/spears

a saurus hero
20 skinks screaning his saurus.
3 terradons harrasing my missile troops
and a stegadon...
i cant figure out how to beat the stegadon plz help
my list looks like this:
Noble: gw, armor of calendor 118p
mage: lvl 2, scroll 155p
14 lsg 7*2 168p- they are always usabel=9
25 phoenix guards f/c 405p - to many i now but they are the only thing surviving the saurus
1 lion charriot 140p
7 sword masters 105p
2 bolt thrower 100p*2
have a few points left some sugestions
you might try to add a lv2 mage with seerstaff and try to get pit of shades of.. if you manage to cast it on his stagadon, he'll lose the entire model right?
you might try lore of beasts as well.. he won't be amused if you manage to use the beast cowers.
to do this you might have to go really magic heavy, including the magic banner and such.. you might want to use the annullian crystal as well to steal a PD from him.
if this doesn't work you could try an fast army with a lot of cavalry, and just avoid the stegadon. if you can't kill it, stay away from it and kill all the others
can you post a list of your available models? this will help us a lot
Byjugo has some really good points there, as far as the stegadon goes, beast cowers on 3 dice every turn, you are should cast it on most attempts and it should draw scrolls early meaning you might be alright with using 2 dice later on. If you bolster that with the radiant gem of hoeth on your noble you will have adecent magic phase. Give the guy with the radiant gem the lore of metals base spell to target the stegadon, characters and champions and let him cast with the remaining 2 dice.
Use your Tiranoc Chariot to protect you Bolt throwers, by deploying a little bit forward of them.
Your Phoenix Gaurd + noble should do amazingly as long as they don't get flanked by the Stegadon, Put your noble on the side and charge so that he only has to fight 1 base to base model at a time, he should kill one but may not kill 2 it should help him last a bit longer with so little protection.
Using the models you have told us
Noble GW, Dragon Armour
Radiant Gem of Hoeth, Rule of Burning Iron
Mage Seer Staff, Lore of Beasts, Cowers and ___________
14 LSG- They are always usable but very expensive as a result.
24 Phoenix Gaurd, Probably still too many but that's ok you are sure to outnumber then.
1 Lion Chariot
1 Tiranoc Chariot
7 Swordmasters (be tempted to switch these for 6 Shadow Warriors to march block but they would be vulnerable to skink shooting early although they are at -3 or 4 to hit most of the time)
2 Bolt Throwers
The trick for you is going to be not giving away too many victory points outside that Phoenix Gaurd Block, everything else is very vulnerable so Terradons and skink screen will have to be targetted early.
thes are the models i can use:
7 sword masters
12 white lions
25 phoenix guards
recently tryed lsg block 7*4
u must try this guys
u move the block upp and pincushin the enemy for 2 rounds then he charges=stand and shoot+ 7*4 + champ+ nobel before he hits u! he dosent even get to hit back with spears XD hilarius
if you want to stick to your LSG you might have to leave the Lion chariot at home, to free up the points.
everyone is focused on killing the segadon but before i can help you what type of stegadon does he take? a Ancheint, reg or Engine of the Gods steg?
