I have entered a campaigne. Without magic items. one only gets magic items if you can present a fully painted army.
Noble w/ Lance, Shield, Dragon Armour, Barded Elven Steed: 113
10 Archers: 110
5 Dragon Princes w/ Drakemaster: 170
7 Swordmasters of Hoeth: 105
(I've removed the champ and put another swordmaster in the unit.)
What do you think?

i think you shouldn't put a drakemaster, or a bladelord in there. if you take em both out, you can put att least 3 more SM in there maybe it's even possible to squeeze in a extra unit of 5
ow and if you don't want to change that, put a musician on your archers.. you have 5 points left after all
thinking of it, it might even be better to take all the champions out, and try to squeeze musicians and banners in there for the extra combat res..
It is always tough writing a really small army list.
I think that I would drop the horse from the noble and put him on foot with a great weapon in the Swordmasters. That would turn them into an even worse arrow magnet though so maybe not a good idea.
I definitely think that dropping the champ and adding an extra body is worth it, you lose 1 attack and gain 2 attacks and an extra wound.
If my calculations are correct, swapping the champ from the DPs for a simple DP could buy you a standard in the SM and a musician for the knights. You would also use those 2 leftover points.
I think perhaps it would be better to use a RBT instead of the SMs. Shooting is really effective in small games and the SMs would truly be the target of that. With RBT you could really punch out lots of range dmg for an army this size
In smaller points, shooting is quite devastating,
I'd swap the sword masters for either white lions or phoenix guard and put the noble in there with a GW, recently played 3 500 point battlees fro our excalation leaguee, and damn lothern sea guard worked weell.
Death to the Alien!
who likes cockroaches anyway.
Ordos Xenos 4/0/3
in small points battles LSG are great. they will soften up the enemy while it crosses the board, but has enough capability to take a charge from most opponents you will come across in these games.
last time i played a 500 PTS game i had 14 LSG, working together with a flanking unit of 7 WL, a RBT, a noble with reaver bow, and maybe even some shadow warriors. it really worked great, shooting the enemy to smithereens, but with enough Oomph to do some damage in CC
