I have never played High Elves but am looking to start a chariot/magic army.
This is what I have come up with- i dont know much about the HE items so i have not decided which to use.
Help/critic on list and items would be great
Archmage- lvl4, 100pts items- 360
Mage- lvl2, 50pts items- 185
Dragon Mage -lvl2, 50pts items- 435
10 Archers - 110
10 Archers - 110
4 Lion Chariots- 560
5 Dragon Princes- Drake Master,25pts items, Musician, Standard Bearer, 50pts banner (Banner of Sorcery?)- 275
2 Repeater Bolt Throwers- 200
I think this all come out at 2235 pts.
After i figure in the points change with Items I will add archers to my 2 units to get to 2250.
Well, you are bringing a good amount of magic.
I would equip your archmage with the book of hoeth,
Mage with seerstaff and a dispel scroll
Dragon mage with Guardian Phoenix and the silver wand.
You have no anvil unit in your army. I would drop two lion chariots for phoenix guard and maybe an eagle.
Give the drakemaster the skeinsliver, first turn is just amazing.
Banner of Sorcery will make those mages very scary.
I'd agree on needing an anvil unit. You've got a lot of great flankers and no one to hold something still for you to flank. A unit of phoenix guard is great for this, 20 strong works well I think. You could also consider replacing your archers with spearmen and beef them up a bit, but they're more likely to take heavy casualties and break.
