Hey guys 2500pts is kind of the standard in my area so i made a list for high elves and i was hoping you guys could help me out the list, here it is:
Archmage (Lore of lIfe)
Seer Staff of Saphery
Talisman of Preservation
Armour of Caledor
Banner of Eternal Flame
6 Dragon Princes
5 Shadow Warriors
18 White Lions
Banner of Sorcery
Repeater Bolt Thrower
Repeater Bolt Thrower
So theres my list i have the shadow warriors to kill warmachines or fast cav, or if there is a wizard in a unit they run in suicide and take the wizard out them, great eagles follow the same purpose. Lore of Life for all the buffs like +toughness and regrow is great, the reason i took the staff to picj my spells instead of the extra spells because there is no need for five spells when there is a chance i might no get the spell that i need (No Dwellers Bellow ). Everything is quite straight forward bsb and prince join the white lions dishing out many str6 hits rerolling to hit attacks, along side with the toughness buff and regrowing lost models it makes a strong unit. Fire banner in case of regen units and watch tower, because flaming attacks allow you to reroll to wound in buildings. So again there is the reasoning for everything in my list all comments and criticism is greatly appreciated
Some good and bad points that I feel...
Arcmage is good to have.
BSB will provide good assistance.
Dragon Princes provide perfect flanking units in my opinion as if they get in combat they can also handle themselves.
Bolt Throwers can cause some good damage.
Bad points -
Drop the Prince for Khoril. This would provided better damage with the WL.
Do you really need to spend that many points on core? Drop a unit or archers.
Shadow warriors can sadly be an easy downfall... Although they seem fun to use they are not that good. Points would go better on more DP or WL.
Normally I would choose PG or WL but this army seems suited for WL.
You can only use 2 Great Eagles... Plus one is enough to take out War Machines... Spend the spare 100 points plus other points you save on either more DP or a charriot.
I hope any of this can help.
Honestly, Caradryan is the best matchup with White Lions and Korhil for PG. With Car in the Lions unit, the whole unit gains MR (3), Fear, Stubborn and Forest Strider. That's INsane. To top it off he's way cheaper than a Prince and does so much more.
Your BsB needs to drop that magic banner for more protection. He's gona die set up as he is faster than you think. Give him Armor of Caledor and Guardian Phoenix Great weapon and Naked BSB (non magic banner). That should come out to a cheap 168 points total. It's a steal and he's great in combat while still giving the BSB bonus to your units.
I'd drop two units of your archers (maybe even the thrid so you can fill in more Special choices, like PG!!) and the shadow warriors and make those 2 units of spearmen into seaguard with shields, both in 5x5 formation. The whole unit will be able to attack 25 attacks with ASF and re-rolls to hit. Plus they can volley fire AND stand and shoot. Put the BSB in one of these units and you're golden. Drop the banner of arcane protection on the BSB unit and War banner or flaming attacks banner on the other to give it more punch, depending on the army you're playing.
You CAN have 3 great eagles, but I'd only suggest 2.
Everything else looks great.
If you forsee playing someone with magic heavy lists, you can try to fit in another lvl 1 mage with High magic and Annulian Crystal. Use him only to cast dispel magic. This setup along with an Archmange Lore of Life and book of hoeth is just awesome!! It shuts down the enemy magic phase pretty handily.

Fantasy: High Elves 7000pts / Warriors of Chaos 6000pts. 40k: Eldar 5000pts / Chaos Marines 2500pts.
Its in the High Elves FAQ:
Page 89 – Choosing an Army
Add “Elite Army
The High Elves are few in numbers, but their armies are
trained and equipped to standards so high that they are the
envy of all other races. To represent this, an army may include
up to 6 of each Special choice (up to 12 in a Grand Army) and
up to 4 of each Rare choice (up to 8 in a grand army).”
EDIT: By the way, its only up to 25% rares. Not 50%
That would explain a lot
