I am rather new to HE so the list is propably not very competetive at all but i would like some help and advise in making it very competeive.
armour of calador
barded steed-dragon armour-shield
heavy armour-enchated shield
banner of eternal flame
standard of disciplin
(the two infantry nobles go here)
10-sword masters of hoeth
5-dragon princes of calador
(noble on steed goes here)
(That leaves 45 points for upgrades)
I will mainly be facing skaven, bretonia, dark elves and empire.
i would recommend to that dont get the armour on the mage, simply enough 'cause he cant cast spells if hes wearing it. only a no noble exepct the bsb can carry banners. combine the spearmen(u dont do anything w/ 10 strong spearmen unit). and maybe drop the noble with no bsb or steed, replace him w/ more sword masters or other specials.
drop the armour of the mage. skip the non bsb noble you have no use for him. combined the spearmen units. with all the spare points you get from that you should take a bolt thrower and maybe some more swordmasters. and you can't have a enchanted shield at your BSB because he have a magic standard. a other great thing to do is to take book of hoeth on the mage. it is one of the best magic items in the game according to me.
hope it helps!
Thanks a lot guys.
So this army would be a lot better then.
Book of hoeth
standard of discipline
10 lothern sea guard
10 sword masters of hoeth
5 dragon princes of calador
5 ellyrian reavers
That goes to just over 1750 points so might have to drop spear man or some other upgrade.
Chears guy's. :]
why can i not cast spells when wearing armour, there is nothing i can find in the rule book that says i cant, and a 2+ save s awsome, and you can take enchanted shield and a magic banner, because you can take one item from each magic item category, one magic armour one magic weapon one magic standard one enchanted item and an arcane item if you wanted to.
The mages in high elves are very difficult to have a good protection without wasting points.
page 500(in the big one) under the paragraph "Magical Interference" it says "wizards cannot choose magic armour unless they have an option for "normal" armour..."
