In the next few weekends there will be a Tournament in my local area, so i though ill give it a try with my high elves. Since I last posted an army list i have bough some new models and played lots of games.
I haven't jet gotten to playing this army list so don't know how it would do.

The idea is that the archmage and bsb go into the seaguard(8*4) and stand at the centre of deployment, the mage on foot goes with the archers with the hawkeye, the other mage is alone(needs protection, might go to dragon princes), the spearmen are to protect the LSG's flank and the phoenix guard will be a very defencive unit, dragon princes are for killing small or weakend units.
please critisise my list.
In general i tink your list needs some more 'punch' units. I'v got the feeling that only the DP's forfill that roll now and they won't cut it. Your archmage build is not one u see verry often, but could work. try looking at some high elf items they do the job much better. the mages carry dubble silver wand, u can't have dubbles. I suggest giving one the silver wand and the other the annulian crystal for extra magic deffence. This way your archmage can go full offence. The bsb with the banner of sorcery is great in your build, just keep 'em safe. the other Noble misses both punch and defence. I'd say cut out the mage with the silver wand, buff your archmage even better for magical offence and the mage with the crystal for extra deffence. Plus i think your costs are off are of specificly on the second mage.
Your core units now fill 984 points, and even though i get the idea i whould skip on some things. the LSG are great great banner for regeneration beasts in a combe with the RBT on that notice i'dd take 2 in this amount of points. Kick out the archer unit with the hawkeye (u never realy need one in a unit like this, they have like zero combat potential). That way u free points for a extra RBT. If u realy want alot of core keep it, it's realy just how u like to play so that should work.
Then u take 20 PHG, an exelent anchor unit, that makes 3 big units with staying power. Due to numbers or a good ward wave. But since u have these u lack the punch units, u realy need some hard hitting buggers to smash and help break a combat. I'm thinking about some swordmasters, a chariot or 2. And not for combat potential but for the tactical, take a great eagle for warmachine hunting, march blocking (not as good) or redirecting a charge.

This is what i whould do, u now pach punch and defencive holding units. As well as a lot of units that can forfill multiple rolls.

Yeah i think i do need some more punch, since writting the list i have played in freindly and the tournament games. They have worked ok when playing deffencive but yes when attacking they do lack. In regards to the white lions im not to fond of them they just don't suit me. I think i will kick out the hawkeye, the mage on steed, the noble on steed, and then with these 290 points i will add maybe some sword masters (10 strong) or some silver helms (6 or 7) and maybe a lion chariot.
You did have some errors in your first list. You can't double up on Arcane items. Both Lvl 2's you listed had Silver Wands.
Secondly, you had 3 casters in that list. You cannot have more then 12 power dice a turn. How do you plan on getting off all of those spells when it's going to take 2 or 3 dice a spell? Your going to get maybe 3 or 4 spells a turn, even less if your trying to throw for an irresistable force. At MOST you should have 2 mages in your list. I feel like the Level 4 is all that you will need, but if you want to take more, just go with a Lvl 4 and Lvl 2.
Mounted models with Great Weapons now get their +2 strength bonus at all times, so it's almost always better to go with a GW over a Lance, just incase combat lasts beyond that first turn or you get charged (and with my luck with DP's it always seems to happen that way).
Terondius had some good suggestions in his post as well. Can't really go wrong with the type of list he put together for you.
