I dont have many models but with a few to many characters I should be able to make 1750 points just
The question is, do I put the level 1-2 mage on the horse or the level 4 one?
Also would you go with these items and why dont Silver Helms get a migial standard, everyone else does??
8 Silver helms
Standard and champion
9 White lions
Archmage Level 4
Talisman of preservation
Jewel of the dusk
Dragon scale shield
Sword of might
The other tricksters shard
A couple things:
a. Silverhelms used to be core, that's why they don't get a magical banner.
b. Don't give archers light armor. that 6+ save isn't worth it. try splitting them into 2 or 3 smaller units with muscians.
c. 25 spearmen is a good bunker for your mage. If you want, you could probably (not in a tourney of course) proxy some archers as spearmen.
d. If your going to use cavalry, make sure you get 10 of them. They need 2 ranks of 5 to disrupt and believe me they need to disrupt!
e. MORE SWORDMASTERS!!! seriously, these things rock. Make sure you have a life archmage protecting them, as they die like there's no tomorrow to shooting.
f. White Lions are nice, but they don't match the kill power of the SM's. If they would let you proxy, combine them with the SM's for a unit of 14 (7x2).
g. your archmage is illegal. He's only allowed 1 arcane item. I don't have my book on me, but you could do several things: 1. Annulian Crystal-helps magical defense 2. Seerstaff-choosing spells is nice 3. Silver Wand-not as nice as choosing spells, but cheaper and almost as nice.
h. Personally, I'd swap his magical items out for the Annulian Crystal, freeing up your Lvl4 for some other options. Alternately, you could give him the Seerstaff, and have your Lvl4 take the A. Crystal
i. No protection??? Get him protection, quick. Armor of Caledor + Dawnstone gives him a 2+rerollable save. Add in a great weapon and he's got 3 S6 attacks going first and rerolling hits. If you could, make him a BSB. They are so valuable to High Elves, with our pricy models that we don't want to run away.
But overall a nice start.
There are 8 Silverhelms because the mage on horse and the noble on horse add up to make 10
Will look at the allocation on magic items on mages when playing a few games, trial and error I think
The noble with a bow will just sit with the archers, not sure how much fighting he will get round to doing, not sure if I can get heavy armour on him to get some protection
These are the only models I have, I could merge units together but will see how it goes with these then in the upgrade to 2k expand the units
Silverhelms got screwed then, coz if they were core they would be able to get one

If you will add the noble+mage to silver helms to get 10, don't put your lvl4 into combat! keep your lvl2 on the horse.
I still think that you should turn that foot noble into a BSB. AoC, DS, and a great weapon add up to 168 points. He would go into your spearmen to give them some punch and combat rez (and trust me, they need it!)
To take this upto 2k points, Im thinking making the spearmen upto 30 and get fc, take the white lions upto 15 and the Swordmasters upto either 7 or 12 then if I have points left over get a bolt thrower, what do you think?
Our RBT isn't very good for it's points. You have a 2wound model that will have a VERY hard time making it's points back. If there was a bunch of heavy cavalry running around, great! Use it! Unfortunately, there isn't a ton of heavy cav running around (at least where I go) so it has a hard time killing more than 50pts. I would recommend 2 Great Eagles instead. They are your best option for killing off warmachines and being annoying redirectors. Personally, they're great!
30 spearmen look good, and full command is nice. Don't be afraid to drop the champion if necessary!
Increasing your SM's is good, but I think you should turn your bow noble into a BSB with the extra points. At 2k it is important if not essential (others will argue that, but I love my rerolls!)
EDIT: Sorry about the great eagle pun....
As a side thought, am I right in thinking, I could have a bsb and a normal unit standard in the same unit, run the bsb as a normal noble with magic items and put a magic banner on the unit standard
I would run the BSB in magical armor. The only times you wouldn't are if you wanted to give him either of the >50pts banner the HE's get. Otherwise, AoC+Guardian Phoenix OR Dawnstone would be the way to go. (either a 2+5++ or a rerollable 2+)
That is the plan run BSB in magic armour etc, but in the same unit have the normal unit standard with a magic banner, Im guessing thats OK
That is definitely OK.
