This is for a 500pts warbands campgain next year with my friends.I was originally going for a balanced list but decided it would be v. unconpedetive aganst the armies i'm up against(orcs, skaven, chaos marauders). Here it is:
commander-lance,dragon armour,shield,mounted w/ i. barding,ring of fury-129
2x6 silver helms-heavy armour,shields-138x2=276
please post any advice/constructive critisim etc.
We just finished up our Warband league. I had reasonable success with only 5 helms in each unit. I came in 3rd over all. The league was dominated by undead and 3 WE players, the WE players joined in later and didnt earn enough points, however one the undead player and one WE went undefeated.
My most successful list were 2 mages, 2 units of 5 helms and a bolt thrower. I was out numbered in models, but with this combination I was able to drop a chaos army (with like 60 some models of beastmen) down to about 5 or 6 models before the end. This was in the 700 or so pt range tho.
Personally, id reccomend dropping 1 helm from each unit, and upgrading to a commander and SB, since your out numbered every little bit of CR wil help.
