commander- riding eagle with reaver bow setup. heavy armor, lance, shield. 170 +POH
that comes out to 980 i have 20 points over probebly spending on mage if anyone has a suggestion about that or the list please comment!:yes:
From what I have seen characters on eagles are not that great. You would proberly be better leaving it at home in 1000 points, your commander eating 170 and the mage at 95 is alot of points in 2 models at this size game. You dont need the magic defence and you wouldnt be looking at more then 1 spell a turn.
I would drop one of the characters, if you keep the commander which is proberly the better choice put him on a barded horse to join the silver helms.
I'd say drop the archers and add a 2nd bolt thrower. Then you have 40 points and use them to give your mage a 2nd level. Drop a musician then you have 11 or 12 points left and I would give the mage channeller. You can then drop 4 dice on any spell. That would almost guarantee you getting a spell of in a 1000 point game. 1 guaranteed spell per turn is pretty big at 1000 points.
ty for the comments they were helpful. I know alot of people dont like archers the main reason i have to use them is a money issue but as soon as i can replace them i will, but again thx for the commander/mage help!
