2250 New List, rookie gettin his feet wet

Alright time for another is this list decent post.

Just started playing fantasy and have done ok, mostly the dice gods have been abandoning me. Give me your thoughts.

5 Silver Helms (FC) -Mage on Steed-

18 Swordmasters (FC)

Lion Standard

10 Shadow Warriors (Sarge)

5 Ellyrian Reavers (Sarge, Musician)

2 Repeater Boltthrowers


I like to use the SW to March block Cav, or protect my Reavers from opposing scouts. I use the Reavers to harass and hopefully pull a unit into a charge from the SwordM. Setup is usually block of spears, SM, block of spears, with the SH and reavers holding a flank.

Any advice would be appreciated.

this looks okay but i would proably drop the gem I know what you are trying to do but it doesn't usualy work. I would also put this guy on foot and give him armour of the gods

both of these are good but i would put both of em on foot

18 Spearmen (FC) -Prince-

bring both of these up to 20

5 Silver Helms (FC) -Mage on Steed-

these are great but don't attache the mage to them, also you might want to drop the banner becuase the enemy could easily beat them and steal there prescious banner (extra vp)

14 Archers
reduce to 10

18 Swordmasters (FC)
Blessed Tome
Lion Standard
solid

10 Shadow Warriors (Sarge)
drop the champion and split them into 2 smaller units

5 Ellyrian Reavers (Sarge, Musician)
again drop champion

other than that i can only say that you might want to get an eagle in there for mage hunting.
