Alright I have a tourney coming up and need advice on a 2250 pt list. In the past magic heavy has helped as magic is where I inflict most of my casualties. Pretty much every army will be represented at this tourney so I need a good all round list.
Here's what I have to go off of:
1 Mounted Hero
2 Heroes on foot
3 Mages on Foot
1 Mounted Mage
25 Silver Helms
8 Shadow Warriors
4 Repeater Bolt Throwers
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
i am a little confused is this an army list or just a collection of models and you want us to make a list.
All I can say is ballance it out. Don't go all magic heavy since you probably will run into a opponent with a heavy antimagic list (dwarves and Khorne). Then you are toast. Keep in mind that the best way to play warhammer is not to kill models but to win the game. Cause panic checks, run opponents down. The best way to defend yourself from loses is to make a list that has a answer for anything. The models I miss in your collection are chariots and eagles. These are both almost unmissable.
I would go with 2 level 2 mages. A fighty prince in the swordmasters ranked up 7X3. With the war banner. That unit will win most combats. Spears for keeping the rest busy while the swormasters take care of armies one unit at a time. A unit of 10 archers is always nice to hide your mages in and a unit or 2 of heavy cav (5 each without command) for flanking and hunting. Eagles for hunting, march blocking and redirection and 2 chariots to add that burst in combat res to combats. Play with the remaining points to see what you like.
